Action Consensus WEF Hike 2024

To make the winter hike as safe and accessible as possible for all participants, we have developed an action consensus. As an act of peaceful, civil protest against the World Economic Forum (WEF), we must take care of each other and therefore want to guide our actions by the following principles:

We aim to treat ourselves as a group of activists with mindfulness and sustainability, which means:

We respect the personal boundaries of other activists.

We proceed calmly and carefully and strive not to endanger anyone (including ourselves).

We foster a regenerative culture by caring for ourselves and each other, to act effectively and remain capable of action in the long term.

Any form of yellence is not part of our action.

Dealing with the consumption of intoxicants:

We ensure that we are always able to act responsibly. Anyone consuming alcohol or intoxicants does so mindfully and considers those around them. Before consuming, ask those around you if it is okay for them.

Dealing with repression:

We continuously inform ourselves about the legal consequences of our actions and take responsibility for them.

During and after the hike, we behave in solidarity and support each other in case the hike is met with repression or legal consequences may arise.

We are an action of peaceful, civil protest and therefore distance ourselves from any conspiracy ideologies.

We treat our environment with care, including the proper handling of waste.
